About Jamie Hyde

I am an articulate, motivated and intelligent Mathematics undergraduate at the University of York on track for a First class degree. I have an aptitude, and a passion for, the use of Mathematics in real world problem solving, and a specific interest in statistical modelling. International derivative trading has been a long standing area of interest - I am currently running my own trading accounts. My thinking style is driven by logic, process and structure. My learning style is one of personal research followed by practical application and analysis. I am motivated by personal challenge, performance and achievement. I am equally comfortable leading teams as well as being a team member. I am confident using written and presentation communication styles. An individual with a first class reputation for personal delivery - I actively look for opportunities to learn new skills and to broaden my understanding. All of my experience and research has excited my curiosity of pursuing a career in the financial industry, as an analyst working in a small team tasked with maximising returns.
