About Jamie J. Doss

Passionate about the transformative power of education, I bring a dynamic background in higher education, counseling, and talent acquisition, with a focus on inclusive engagement, lifelong learning, and educational impact. Throughout my career, I’ve supported learners and professionals across institutional and individual contexts, with experience spanning student support, program coordination, and counseling, as well as recruitment and talent acquisition. With experience supporting learners across academic and co-curricular settings, I’ve cultivated strengths in program planning and implementation, in-person and online instruction, assessing learner needs and tailoring support accordingly, and creating engaging learning experiences that foster academic, career, and personal growth. I am also passionate about advancing equity in higher education through research and practice. My scholarly interests focus on Black women's lived experiences in higher education, solidarity among college students, and college student thriving and success. I also study Black student retention and success, as well as equity and inclusion in higher education, with a focus on race and gender. I am committed to creating inclusive learning environments and driving systemic change that supports the academic and personal thriving of underrepresented students. Mission- and results-driven, I am grounded in a commitment to equity, access, and community impact. My approach is collaborative and values-based, rooted in strong communication, cross-functional teamwork, and a belief in education as a lifelong tool for empowerment. I continue to enjoy working at the intersection of education, advocacy, and innovation, helping individuals navigate their paths with purpose and confidence.
