About Jamie Johnson

With a history of experience in the service industry, sign language interpreting, special education, early childhood education, and clinical counseling, I currently work for Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare as a Rapid Response Professional Partner. I currently work with the families of children with severe emotional disturbances in an attempt to keep them in the home and provide the supports and services they need to live healthy lives. I am qualified to be a PLMHP and PLADC with my Master's in Clinical Counseling, and LADC CEU's. As a level IV Professional Partner, my job duties include visiting weekly with assigned families, finding them appropriate resources, meeting with other providers and supports, keeping accurate documentation, providing training, education, and guidance to peers, and performing quality record reviews. While I hold a passion to work with the Deaf community and children, my experience in International Studies at Creighton provided me the education to be able to have compassion and understanding of other cultures from around the world as well. My goal in life is to feel like I have made a difference; even if to only one person. My next short-term goal is to start and complete my doctorate in child psychology.
