About Jamie Lim

Over the past 30 years, I have garnered invaluable skills and experience in Finance and Consultancy whilst working with PwC, followed by a few years as a business owner and then a career break to bring up my family. Subsequently, I had an enjoyable and rewarding stint in the education sector for almost 3 years before returning to the world of business. My roles in PwC involved business turnarounds. I have a keen interest in critical operations review and implementation of improvement strategies and relevant cost-cutting exercises. Core skills developed include accurate numeracy, due diligence, attention to detail, clear and concise oral & written communication skills, accountability, workload prioritization, ability to meet deadlines, ability to work on own initiative to achieve required results, excellent client servicing and being an effective team member. In running my own business, I also developed skills in staff recruitment & management, sourcing & supplier relationship, marketing, advocating superior customer service, budgeting, financial control and event management. My previous role as a highly valued member of staff in a primary school was focused on intervention work to bring children up to speed with their learning (especially with the disruption caused by the pandemic) as well as assisting in ensuring the smooth running of classes. I also act as a cover for teaching classes whenever required. An important part of me believes in charitable work and ‘giving back to society’. Currently, I offer my free time to Sanctus' fundraising events. Sanctus is a homeless charitable organisation based in Chelmsford. In the near future, I am seeking for an ideal opportunity for me to leverage my various skills and experience and help to support business growth goals for the right organisation.
