About Jamie MacArthur

Within my last post working as a chartered Town Planner with the London Borough of Hounslow as Senior Planning Policy & S106 Officer. My principal accountabilities involved liaising with developers around S106 agreements to achieve planning consent, whilst ensuring the obligations are monitored and completed. I was also involved with the development of the borough’s Core Strategy as part of the Local Development Framework. This includes the production of the Boroughs Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). Prior to this I was employed as a regeneration and planning consultant at Taylor Young Ltd and Escape Urbanists, leading on a number of planning and regeneration projects. This ranged from a large scale satellite telecommunications project for HM Prisons to masterplanning, urban design and major mixed use regeneration projects throughout the UK. Specialties: Statutory Planning: Planning applications, Design and Access Statements, LDF’s (SPD’s & AAP’s), and Development Briefs. Production of planning policy and procedures, including the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and the calculation and negotiation of S106 contributions. Urban Design and Regeneration: Providing Local Planning Authorities, Developers and Universities with urban design advice and training. Regeneration and Masterplanning from Neighbourhood Plans to City Centres.
