About Jamie Pratt

I enjoy helping communities and clients find solutions to their environmental issues while taking into consideration budgets, timelines, feasibility, and constructibility. With 18 years of experience in the Coastal Geology and Engineering field, I have a deep understanding of beach and inlet morphodynamics and pride myself on finding high value results and cohesive long term plans for coastal towns. In the field, hands on experience in data collection and beach nourishment projects along the East and Gulf Coasts from Montauk, New York to South Padre Island, Texas has allowed my personal understanding of coastal environments to expand beyond that of Southeastern North Carolina and established a diverse background knowledge of construction techniques and coastal environments. My current passion lies with developing sustainable and environmentally friendly beach and inlet management plans for local governments. This includes development of a feasible plan, permitting on a State and Federal level, and ultimately project management to ensure the project design in brought to fruition on budget and in a timely fashion.
