Jamie Reddington is Deputy Course Leader of the MA Music Management at the University of Westminster and a pioneering electronic artist (Sound of Fractures) experimenting at the intersection of music, technology, and new creative working models. As an artist, Jamie is transforming how music is consumed and created through innovative collaborative projects like “Scenes” – an interactive album where fans become co-creators by contributing memories and photos. His unique sonic signature blends elements of Jamie XX and Burial with deeply personal found sounds, creating what he describes as “emotional electronic music.” Featured on BBC Radio 1 and covered by Mixmag, Music Ally, and Dummy Magazine, his work showcases the potential of emerging technologies to re-imagine artist-audience relationships.“Since forming the Sound of Fractures project, Jamie has emerged as one of the trailblazers in the music NFT space, both in the UK and further afield, incorporating blockchain mechanisms within the roll-out of his work while simultaneously making sure not to reduce accessibility for the music fans yet to be introduced to or swayed by web3.” - Dummy MagWith over 15 years of industry experience as a producer, writer, and artist signed to major labels including Polydor Records, Jamie has written and produced for RAYE, Paloma Faith, Jessie J, Talib Kweli, Nas, and many others. His research into “Re-Imagining Popular Music Education,” sponsored by the Universal Music Sound Foundation, explores the sustainability of creative careers in the digital age.Jamie’s work champions world-building as a means to create stronger emotional bonds between artists and fans, challenging traditional formats while pioneering new revenue flows and collaborative practices that put human connection at the center of technological innovation.
