About Jamie Rossiter

With 30 years of teaching and volunteering experience, I am passionate about Montessori education, the environment, and helping others to explore their strengths, push their limits, and contribute meaningfully to society. As a Middle School Director and Outdoor Education Coordinator at Aurora Montessori School, I lead a dynamic team of educators and learners, integrating philosophy, methods, and instruction based on Ontario curriculum, Montessori principles, and current adolescent research. I am also responsible for all curriculum planning and development, and instruction in Mathematics, Science and Geography, incorporating hands-on and experiential activities that engage students in authentic learning. Additionally, I work with administration and staff to plan, promote, and integrate land experience, environmental learning, and stewardship for all ages of the school. I am highly motivated in my teaching, volunteer work, and journey of personal growth and challenge. I enjoy exploring new opportunities, testing myself, expanding upon my accomplishments, and working toward new possibilities.
