About Jamie Sabourin

After working 10 years bartending on a cruise ship, I decided that I was ready to enter into a new career that gave me a bigger sense of purpose and became a RN. My time on ships was a prelude into the skills and traits necessary to work as a nurse that includes hard work, cultural competency, teamwork, flexibility collaboration, interpersonal relationships, excellent rapport with clients, and the ability to work long hours. I am a life long learner which makes nursing the perfect career choice for me and I am always in pursuit of advancing my professional development in order to deliver safe, quality patient-centered-care. In addition to self-learning, I am passionate about providing education especially when it pertains to improving the quality of life. I have just accepted a seat in USF's concurrent Occupational Health and Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Master program for Fall of 2021 with a target date of graduating in December of 2025. What I'm excited the most about the role as an Occupational Health NP is the opportunity to develop and implement programs that will keep employees healthy, safe, and living their best life.
