About Jamie Sinclair

I have vast experience working with athletes of all ages and from a range of sporting backgrounds, most recently working within the FA pyramid as Lead Physiotherapist at Spennymoor Town Football Club. I have developed a strong rapport with medical staff, strength and conditioning coaches, tactical coaches and wider management team, providing a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to the development of elite players. Excellent collaboration skills have been developed in my previous and current NHS roles, now working as a Specialist Physiotherapist in South Tyneside and Sunderland Foundation Trust. I have been able to engage well with primary care and secondary care practitioners regarding patient care and progression. I hold strong leadership qualities and confidently participate in wider multi-disciplinary discussions. These skills are underpinned when mentoring junior clinicians and university placement students. Evidence-based practice and reflection time are at the heart of my work as a physiotherapist, regularly attending CPD events to ensure my practice stays up to date. I use evidence-based theories and protocols to allow for better standardisation of care and improved outcomes. I am comfortable working in high-pressured conditions, skills which have been developed while working with elite athletes and within the NHS. My various musculoskeletal experiences and skills have built my proficiency in assessing spinal, lower and upper limb conditions, diagnosis, treatment and injury prevention.
