Background
About Jamie Soderberg
Facilities and industrial maintenance manager with over 20 years of experience leading high-performing multi-site teams across manufacturing, aerospace, and commercial fitness environments. I’ve built my career around optimizing facility operations, reducing downtime, and implementing proactive maintenance systems that not only extend equipment life but ensure safe and efficient workplaces. Known for my hands-on leadership style, I bring a strong foundation in preventive and predictive maintenance, RCM, CMMS implementation, and capital project execution, alongside a dedication to continuous improvement, team mentorship, and fiscal responsibility. That mindset took root early. Growing up in a modest backwoods community in northern Wisconsin, I learned to repair things long before I ever considered replacing them. Whether I was helping the local TV repairman, working alongside my father on everything from exhaust systems to well pumps, I developed a natural mechanical ability and a deep respect for doing the job right the first time. While serving in the Army National Guard, I put myself through college and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Facilities Management at UW-Stout. The coursework in mechanical systems, plant engineering, and HVAC, aligned perfectly with the hands-on experience I’d already developed. I worked throughout college, carried full course loads, and attended summer school to stay on track, ultimately graduating with honors. That same work ethic fuels how I lead today: I believe in coaching teams to take ownership, solve problems proactively, and grow into leadership roles themselves. For me, strong maintenance operations start with strong people. My time as a U.S. Army combat engineer added structure to that hands-on skill set, teaching me to accurately measure incline, plan routes, build bridges, and even help construct schools and training sites overseas. Just as important, it reinforced the value of teamwork under pressure, learning to rely on others, lead by example, and accomplish complex missions with precision and trust in high-stakes environments. Today, that fix-it mentality still guides me. Whether I’m managing multimillion-dollar budgets or mentoring the next generation of technicians, I stay focused on solutions that work, people who grow, and systems that last.
