About Jamie Talbot

With a passion for understanding problems and shaping practical solutions, I’m an experienced leader with technical, operational, strategic and commercial expertise across a variety of industries including automotive, rail and built environment. I’m currently leading Partnership and Global client activities for an engineering software business at Arup. My time here and with the Mitsui-Arup joint venture has provided significant business and investment experience on a global scale. My knowledge and exposure to many engineering projects in the industries mentioned above has contributed to my depth of understanding and ability to manage complex scenarios in specialist areas such as, e-bus implementation and operations; vehicle development and testing; automotive engineering, crashworthiness and NVH; rail, automotive and structural instrumentation and data acquisition. With the foundations of my career starting in engineering before progressing to leadership positions, developing strong connections with clients and stakeholders comes naturally. I am able to appreciate an organisations’ true challenges and requirements, and demonstrate how to bring value to their businesses. Outside of work I enjoy time outdoors, either exploring with my family, on my bike or building or fixing something in the garden. I’m always looking to connect and learn about new challenges I can help with.
