About Jamie Tobin
Jamie is a true east coaster. He grew up in St. Lawrence, Newfoundland and completed his education at Academy Canada. With strong roots and ingrained Newfoundland values, oil and gas facilities design was a natural fit. After spending six years in Boston providing design services to Shaw Energy & Irving Oil Jamie moved to Alberta. In 2008 Jamie then opened a design consulting business working with several major players in Calgary. Since 2008, Jamie has collaborated with colleagues and clients in developing design solutions for some of Alberta's most complex facilities, including Imperial Oil's Kearl Lake Oil Sands project and the Fort Hills SAGD facility for Suncor Energy. Jamie has an analytical mindset, is operationally focused, and has a strong commitment to his clients and their mission.
