Telling a story through complex datasets is where I thrive. I welcome the challenge of applying my analytical mind to new and diverse data, and excel at thoroughly researching and understanding the business requirements the data supplements. By being adaptable and committed to continuous learning I push myself to evolve beyond the job expectations and deliver on an organization’s ambitions. I have proven this in my 10 years as a geoscientist by self-learning software packages like ArcGIS, which I identified to enhance the quality of my work, and by excelling in the field of geochemistry, ultimately completing a M.Sc. in the subject. I've honed my skills for concise report writing, producing insightful visualizations, and fittingly communicating my findings to clients and other non-technical audiences. I am a proud student of the Edge Up program and recently completed a certificate in Data Analytics from SAIT, while augmenting my learning with online courses from LinkedIn Learning and Udemy to ensure I had a strong grasp of SQL, Power BI and the Microsoft analytics solution stream, both in the cloud and on-prem. Outside of work I contribute to my community by fostering inclusivity through mentorship with young adults with disabilities, and in 2018 immersed myself in researching and succinctly summarizing the cultural, economic, and environmental impacts of Calgary hosting the Olympic Games for the Bid Exploration Committee.
