Background

About Jamieson Thorgalsen

I have been working in the construction industry since 2019. My career started with an interest in specialty building products and architectural applications. My primary focus is building envelopes and facades. In my current role, I serve as an account executive in McKinstry's architectural metals division in Portland, OR. My primary function is to assess incoming bid invitations, comprise material quantity takeoffs, produce scope letters, and submit proposals to general contractors. In turn, I also manage the sale and turnover of projects we bid to general contractors in Oregon and Southern Washington. This role incorporates my strengths of business development, marketing, and outside sales along with my expertise in commercial architectural products. In my previous role I managed customer accounts in Oregon and Washington for products including expansion joint covers, louvers, sunshades, and architectural grilles. I strived to deliver exceptional customer service and guide buyers to make informed purchasing decisions. Technical expertise and prompt project delivery are a standard for quality service. I aimed to present products with the upmost accuracy and transparency.
