About Jamil Damaj

Jamil Damaj has over 21 years of experience in the geotechnical and geophysical engineering. His main consulting experience includes: deep and shallow foundations design, slope stability, site investigations, preparation and follow-up on geotechnical and geophysical investigation programmes, interpretation of investigation results, design of foundations in coordination with other disciplines, and preparation of geotechnical reports, specifications and other technical documents. The treatment of sand dunes and Sabkha areas, remediation of landslide zones are also key qualifications for Dr. Damaj. His responsibilities include also preparation of technical and financial proposals for various projects in Lebanon and the Middle East; as well as follow up and coordination with the client and the concerned authorities. In addition the below tasks are included within experience of Dr. Damaj: Tunnel design: Stability analysis of portals, support design for excavation and determination of classes of rock support. Carrying out numerical modeling and behavior simulation of foundations, embankments, dams, shoringsystems, lab tests, etc. Preparation of construction Specifications for earthworks, reclamations, piling, dewatering, etc.
