About Jan Allan

I have worked in community services for many years, my desire is to assist families to create holistic healthy relationships and facilitate men and women to take responsibility in their lives. Not only for themselves but also their children. 2015-2018 Recently I concluded my employment at a Drug Rehabilitation Programme. Men from diverse back grounds and assorted addictions and personality disorders.This has included working with their families, to bring both reconciliation and restoration. I have worked with men, women and children, as a Counsellor, facilitator, trainer, leader while pioneering a women’s support group for addiction. During this time I was a key Counsellor working in a number of key positions with numerous responsibilities. Some events included two Father and children’s camps, assisting in restoring tattered relationships. I also directed a women’s camp for 44 women. 2009-2015 Worked for the Department of Child Protection as a senior residential care officer with Youth at Risk. 2012 - 2014 I was involved in a core team to support and provide accreditation and the implementation for the Department of Child protection. By collaboratively facilitating a systemic trauma based culture that's focus is to create a healthy environment for both staff and clients, using the Sandra Bloom model "Sanctuary". This model enables a process of change with assorted traumas, cultures and sexualities. Excellent model to cultivate a positive environment for growth and change for your team no matter what you do. 2007-2009 I worked with NGO Alta1, two to one placements for trauma based youth at risk through out the Perth metro.Assisting with behavior assessment and implementation of a holistic therapeutic model to facilitate Client's in changing their belief systems developing positive changes in a number of life skills.
