About Jan Andersen

With 20 years of experience in the energy and process industries, I am a Process Technologist at GEA Group, a leading supplier of emission control technologies. I have a Master of Science in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, and I am certified in project management (Prince 2). My core competencies include designing, testing, and optimizing spray dryer absorber (SDA) systems, which use atomized lime slurry and activated carbon to remove SO2, HCl, Hg, and dioxin from flue gas or process gas streams. I am skilled in conducting heat, energy, mass, and chemical balances, designing process flow sheets, investigating new processes, and troubleshooting existing systems. My mission is to help clients reduce their environmental impact and comply with regulatory standards while improving their operational efficiency and performance. I am curious, flexible, and ready to solve complex challenges in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
