About Jan Annikve
As a small child, I used to sit on a windowsill and look outside - not just to admire the street but to spot people to talk to. Elderly people were my favorite, as they walked slowly and I could talk with them longer. Politics, business, economy - these were the topics I wanted to discuss. No kids' stuff. At that time, I was four years old. Almost 30 years have passed, but my childhood story still describes me well. My desire to communicate and understand every single aspect of my work has led me to success in many different and exciting projects. Being a Sales Manager has taught me how to communicate, listen, and truly understand what the client needs. As a Promoter, General Manager, and part of a financial startup, I learned the importance of numbers. It’s not just about selling your service and invoicing; you must constantly analyze cash flow, KPIs, and financial strategy to keep your company thriving. This analytical mindset led me to Coop Pank, where I played a key role in shaping its digital and financial services. As Head of Electronic Channels, I managed the development of digital banking services, ensuring Coop Pank became one of the market leaders in digital accessibility and user experience. My team defined the bank’s digital strategy, improved user interfaces, and ensured compliance with financial regulations while making services more accessible to customers. Later, as Head of Consumer Financing, I focused on expanding Coop Pank’s market share, fully automating loan processes, and implementing data-driven solutions that enhanced efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Throughout these roles, I have learned that precision, efficiency, and delivering a seamless user experience are just as important as strategy and innovation. My background in design has reinforced this mindset—no matter how great an idea is, execution is what truly matters. Just as no one wants to work with a designer who constantly misses deadlines, no customer wants a financial service that is slow, complicated, or unreliable. Likewise, my experience in public procurement has taught me that even a single word or minor oversight can change everything. Attention to detail, whether in finance, design, or operations, is what sets apart a good solution from a great one.
