About Jan Binder

Data is my passion! I enjoy working with large and complex data sets, and finding patterns, rules, and anomalies that help to better understand my clients' issues. These insights help me to derive recommendations for action and to develop data science products for regular use. In my professional life I focus on- consulting clients with data-driven products (analyses, forecasts and simulations) for better understanding - working in and leading project groups and mentoring junior colleagues - bring data science models to products for daily use (supervise from idea to final product via conception, analysis, development, operation and reporting)- set up data science product lifecycle with MLops principles and integrate feedback loops to clients - develop smart tools with colleagues to fasten the development process of data analysis and science products - linking customer needs with innovative approaches in the fields of statistics, machine learning and artificial intelligence Some of the outcomes of my work include recommendation engines for daily use in web and app, improvements of marketing campaigns, customer segmentations, location choices of companies, and assortment changes in retail stores.
