Jan is a highly respected professional with over 25 years’ experience in telecommunications, gaming, traffic systems and industrial automation. In addition to his career at Ericsson, he has enjoyed considerable success in the Gaming Industry. He is a social and appreciated leader, demanding focus on creating value. Jan’s career combines a critical mix of technical skills, significant change management and leadership ability, and valuable experience of mergers and acquisitions from both sides of the fence. He forged his early management career at Ericsson and then became Executive Vice President of EssNet, leading a major turnaround of the company, generating profitability and growth on a mature market, innovated systems and processes He established ACE Interactive as a completely new and innovative vendor, re-shaping the Video Lottery market by winning and executing a €90 Million order of Video Lottery terminals from the Norwegian gaming authority (Norsk Tipping).He facilitated a €40 Million acquisition of ACE Interactive by Aristocrat and subsequent merger of the business. He returned to Ericsson to establish new business in Mobile Media and Enterprise Communication Solutions and to co-lead a turn around of an under-performing unit, which was returned to profitability. He holds a MSc Electro Engineering from Royal Institute of Technology, International Management of Technology Chalmers University of Technology and FEM Executive Management Program at Stockholm School of Economics. He is fluent in Swedish and English, conversational level in German.
