Ph.D. student of musicology, philosophy undergraduate, music writer and journalist, translator, composer and guitarist. President of the Czech Musicological Society and editor-in-chief of the Forum of Musicology journal. Editor of Charles University’s magazine Forum in English. Former deputy editor-in-chief of Harmonie magazine. One of the few people in the Czech Republic specializing in contemporary classical and avant-garde music. I have covered international music events such as the Prague Spring Festival, Strings of Autumn or Ostrava Days for major Czech music periodicals (Harmonie Magazine, Opus Musicum, Opera Plus, HIS Voice, Czech Music Quarterly) and contributed to the Musicologica Olomucensia academic journal. Actively researching the field of progressive rock and keeping up-to-date with recent genres such as post-rock, blackgaze or various kinds of exciting experimental rock and metal music.
