About Jan Brhel

I started my professional career in Deloitte Audit s.r.o, Ostrava office in 2013. I have worked on more than hundred audit projects for more than sixty different companies. These companies operated mostly in automotive, engineering, heavy industry, healthcare, energy, defence or real estate sector. Besides the core audit projects, I have also participated on several advisory engagements for the clients and cooperated with my colleagues from other departments. These advisory projects related to internal controls, accounting advisory in accordance with CZ GAAP, IFRS or US GAAP, consolidation, real estate valuations, mergers or transfer pricing and tax area. I have also provided internal and external lecturing, mainly in the field of CZ GAAP, IFRS, internal controls and soft skills. During the last years on the manager position, I have been dealing with financial management of projects, monitoring of profitability, creation and evaluation of project's budgets, management of receivables as well as invoicing process or negotiation of prices, and securing the contracts on a daily basis. As an auditor during my work, I have managed to cooperate and communicate with different types of people, been able to work in a team, communicated with colleagues and clients from different countries and cultures (e.g. US, Korea, Netherlands, Spain, Israel and many others) or lead the group audit of more than 100 components placed in several foreign countries as well as smaller audit engagements. Since the 1 July 2025 I have changed my career path and joined TAPI Czech Republic, where I am responsible for accounting, tax and treasury.
