About Jan de Jong

I am an experienced finance manager/director with specific expertise in the area of (technical) accounting, reporting, both management, tax as well as statutory and ERP. I have worked with and reported in different accounting standards such as USGAAP, Dutch GAAP and IFRS. Also in the area of tax accounting and transfer pricing I have gained specific expertise. Working closely with technical accounting experts as well as auditors I have gained a thorough understanding of complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition, lease and Opex vs Capex. Implementing ERP systems such as JDE and Oracle has become a recurring event for me in which I was playing a leading role on behalf of finance at the different employers I have worked for. I have also gained experience and have worked with budgeting and forecasting cycles. I have been working on the implementation of the Treasury function for VodafoneZiggo. I have strong communication skills in both Dutch and English and am a team player/ people manager, used to managing large teams with direct and indirect reports up to 50 FTE in total. Due to my experience with working in complex, dynamic and rapidly changing organizations, I am able to quickly oversee the impact of changes for people, processes and systems, resulting for instance in clear translations of strategic goals into operational and departmental objectives.
