About Jan Jirovec

I'm an entrepreneur and investor passionate about building companies that challenge the status quo and create long-term impact. I do this through Patero, a Czech investment group I co-own. For me, real innovation takes courage. The courage to think long-term, go against the grain, and combine traditional industries with modern technologies. That’s how I aim to build businesses that are resilient, people-centered, and designed to grow – not just built on buzzwords and big promises. My journey started with Logio, where I’ve been rethinking supply chains since 2004. Early on, I realized that real transformation isn’t just about making things faster or cheaper. It’s about understanding complexity, designing smart systems, and having the patience to build things that don’t fall apart under pressure. That experience taught me how to mix data, structure, and intuition – and how to turn that into meaningful growth. Since then, I’ve backed and co-developed a number of startups – not just with capital, but with strategic input, hands-on support, and access to a network that actually helps. Some, like Inventoro and Stories.bi, went on to grow and exit successfully. Others – like Yieldigo, Shipvio, Boost.space, Flowpay, Outfindo, Yedem, GoRamp, Ringil, and Wereldo.com – I continue to develop with care and a long-term mindset, each one tackling real-world problems in commerce, logistics, or operations. These days, I’m still very much involved in Logio as Managing Director, currently focusing on international expansion. I believe meaningful change takes time. But if you build it right, it lasts.
