About Jan Lindert

While being active in the I(C)T branch for over 20 years now, a lot of things have changed and I am still eager to follow the latest technology trends and try to apply them in the projects I am working on.Around 1996 I started as a Java programmer and was team lead for a couple of teams. While working on data processing applications, the need for web based technology came up and I started do develop web based applications in PHP as well.Biggest drive for me is being creative with the technology used in the current projects. This also worked fine when I made my first steps into the IoT world, using the first versions of the Raspberry Pi, programming shell scripts, C++ programs and Java interfaces for monitoring systems.Currently I am working for a large company in the Netherlands which is trying to keep up with the energy transition. We are juggling around on the cloud platform, creating HA applications and deploying them on the K8S platform. In my spare time I cycle a lot. I once climbed the Mt Ventoux three times on a day and I finished the cyclosportive Granfondo La Marmotte. When not in the mood for cycling, I like to hike long distance tracks. Furthermore I love to taste wine and beer and try out various food combinations with them.If you're interested in me and you believe my skills are usefull in your projects, feel free to contact me. I will only be available as a freelancer.
