Jan oversees all offshore wind activities within the Carbon Trust. He has pioneered the development of their industry leading offshore wind research, development and innovation programmes including the Offshore Wind Accelerator (OWA) since 2010. In addition, he has led the growth of Carbon Trust’s international offshore wind activity, developing offshore wind in emerging markets including the US and Asia. Having been a founding member of the US National Offshore Wind R&D Consortium (NOWRDC), Jan was Vice Chair and is now Chair of the R&D Committee.
