About Jan Nyquist

Jan Nyquist has been involved in literally every aspect of selling, joining and installing polyethylene pipe for more than three decades. Being a dual citizen of the United States and Canada, Jan has an extensive background in both countries. His career with polyethylene began in the late seventies at the Fittings Division of a major polyethylene pipe manufacturer as an extruder operator, fittings fabricator and fusion technician."I recognized instantly how challenging and interesting the field was and knew that I had found my career. I worked long hours to learn as much as I could." Soon thereafter Jan Nyquist joined a Trenchless Technology firm that pioneered in "Slip-Lining" applications at a time when the field was still in its infancy. In 1981 he formed Pipefusion Services Inc, becoming one of the first independent fusion contractors in the country. Jan's company was extensively involved in polyethylene pipe and product sales, fusion contracting, equipment rentals and fittings manufacturing within mining, industrial and municipal markets throughout North America. It also offered specialized services to firms engaged in Trenchless applications."I am as excited about this field today as I was thirty years ago and am still learning." It is the desire to share his extensive knowledge and enthusiasm with others that has motivated Jan to keep expanding his business. Today Pipefusion is engaged in several successful business lines all of which have evolved from the core product, polyethylene pipe. Creative marketing skills and approach to business. A keen technical mind including the ability to develop opportunities and new products. Relationship building, particularly with suppliers and new customers. Ability to interact with all levels in the company from the Board of Directors, President and CEO to the hourly employees. Establishing and maintaining solid business relationships.
