About Jan-Paul Polderman

Since 2006 I have been working as an auditor at PwC Netherlands for a wide variety of clients. I am involved with the audit of various clients in the Financial Services industry. My clients are investment funds and their service providers; investment managers, insurance related entities; and various capital market entities. I am a registered a Certified Public Accountant (Registeraccountant). I have experience in performing audits under IFRS, USGAAP and Dutch GAAP. In addition to this I have worked on SOx projects, due diligence and other advisory projects within the financial services industry. Passionate about (risk) assurance and technology I moved from financial audit to IT audit and risk assurance into the domain of Information Technology. As a specialist in internal control, risk and compliance, I helped my clients develop sound internal control frameworks. Given my background as internal control/IT auditor, I am ideally placed to make the link between finance and IT related processes. Specialties: ISAE 3402, ISAE ISA 4400 (Agreed upon Procedures), SOC 2, ISO 2700x, pre & post implementation and migration reviews, XBRL, IT general computer controls, compliance reviews, information security, quality assurance reviews, Sarbanes-Oxley, IT audits, etc. Some projects I was involved in- Quality assurance for the implementation IT projects for the pension sector - Assisted in the ISAE 3402 implementation for companies in the financial and industrial sectors - Leads the ISAE 3402 / ISAE / SOC 2 Type II and Type I attestations for several companies in Europe (within the financial as well as industrial sector)- Manages the yearly SOX 404 review for some clients for the IT and business related cycles As an experienced team leader, I bring complementary competencies together to form effective project delivery teams. I am result-driven, an effective communicator, a team player, a reliable project manager and committed to consistently delivering high-quality results to my clients. Outside work I like to be involved in side projects to get a broader perspective on society. At the moment I am involved as an advisor for NGO's from friends, acted as a board member, financial and internal control expert. From a personal perspective I take a big interest in philosophy, theology and music.
