About Jan Pichrt

I have over 30 years of experience working in the IT field. Currently, I work as Synthomer's Global IT Infrastructure Administrator at the Sokolov site in the Czech Republic. I'm a proud member of a global IT team spanning the entire world, which allows me to be involved in many interesting global projects. Every day, I help ensure the best infrastructure performance for our business. My colleagues describe me as a problem solver and technology evangelist who enjoys challenges in my work. In this role, I encounter many more technologies than I would as an ordinary IT administrator. Our chemical plants never sleep, and the same goes for our IT. If everything runs smoothly and nothing suffers a glitch, then I know I’ve done my job. In my free time, I am an RC aircraft modeler and a member of the local LMK Lomnice club. Additionally, I fly virtually on the IVAO and VATSIM networks with the Airbus A319 and various general aviation planes. I also play the accordion, guitar, and piano.
