About Jan Sadil

After 27 years in banking I took on a new challenge and ventured into the world of real estate, energy and technology. As part of JRD, we are embarking on exciting, energy-friendly and sustainable development projects, primarily in and around Prague. We are also involved in renewable energy. The Energo division, which deals with modern energy, operates the 2nd largest wind park in the country and also operates a number of photovoltaic power plants in the Czech Republic and Hungary. We turn waste into raw materials. We are helped to do this by Millenium Technologies, a member of the JRD GROUP, which focuses on plasma gasification and vitrification of waste as an efficient, environmentally friendly and completely safe way of processing waste. The output is synthesis gas, which can be a source of energy or chemical products such as hydrogen. The technology has a small footprint and is therefore suitable for organisations and companies, wastewater treatment plants, healthcare facilities or municipalities. Gasification makes it possible to produce energy from any waste. It is important for us not just to build houses, but to deliver healthy living. To implement housing and projects that are environmentally friendly. Housing must have great added value for new owners and minimal burden on nature. My new position as Executive Director at JRD builds in some ways on my previous years of experience in banking, particularly related to mortgages. At ČSOB I had the opportunity to lead retail banking for 5 years. Before that, I had the privilege to lead Hypoteční banka for 15 years. The mortgages I started with at KB have grown on me and I have been involved in them for 27 years. This has earned me the nickname "Daddy Mortgage", which of course on the one hand I laugh a little, on the other hand I appreciate this title, even though it is very unfair to other bankers who are dedicated to home loans. Aside from my business activities, I am also involved in education. My wife, Paula, and I started a private primary school, EDISONA, which entered its second year this year. We now have 75 children. I am also vice-chairman of the supervisory board at the Paraple Centre.
