About Jan Wichmann

Hi, I am a former logistic officer of the German army, with a Master of Economics, and a MBA. I am a generalist with a broad training and high level perspective. I joined the military, because I wanted to give back something to my country and my people. I become an officer, because I want to guide direction and make decisions with real impact. I studied economics, because I am interested in the big picture and the long term perspective, not only what happen tomorrow. I took part in an international MBA, because I wanted to shape my business and organizational skills. To address some of my weaknesses and get international experience, I wrote my master thesis in Australia. My flexibility helped me to adapt to several different positions and responsibilities during my military service. My calm and deliberative way of thinking and acting helped me to struggle through difficult situations in Afghanistan. My capability to solve a problem and to work down a table enabled me to finish critical projects successfully for several times. My intellectual curiosity and my aspiration to learn new things let me master two high level university degrees. I am always open to new ideas and opportunities to grow, learn and solve problems for the benefit of all.
