About Jane Ayamba

Legal Counsel with extensive experience in investments, trusts, and law. Obtained degrees in General Law and Corporate Law from Afe Babalola University and the University of Cambridge respectively. Having been admitted to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor, I am trained in English common law governed principles and documentation. I have a proven track record of successfully managing trust portfolios, ensuring efficient and compliant administration while optimizing client outcomes. My experience spans from providing trusts and estate planning services to HNIs and UHNW individuals (AUM ~$90m) to administering trusteeships and SPVs for significant corporate and project finance deals within the Nigerian context. My previous experience at top-tier law firms honed my skills in capital markets, banking, power and infrastructure project development, and dispute resolution, as I trained to deliver results on fast-paced projects. In my most recent in-house role, I provided legal support - advising on suitable structures and drafting/negotiating trust deeds and corporate services documentation. A recognized academic achiever, I am the recipient of numerous awards, including the Afe Babalola (SAN) First Class Prize and the Council of Legal Education Excellence Award. I continuously pursue inter-disciplinary professional and knowledge development as I seek to advance compliance practices in the areas of investments and trusts. I have also explored my passion for education and human capital development as Legal Advisor to the Cybersafe Foundation Fellowships, Team Lead at the Let It Shine Academy and Volunteer with the Cambridge Black Mentoring Initiative.
