About Jane Barrow

I am excited about employing my skill set at a forward-thinking company who emphasizes the importance of the user in design. I am passionate about providing a voice for the user in the design process and am always looking for a new and exciting place to do so. Having held multiple key leadership roles as a doctoral candidate, I am comfortable working collaboratively with diverse, technically based businesses to mentor and educate others, design and analyze studies, and develop research programs that utilize cognitive science to solve real-world problems. I continually look for ways to enhance approaches to cognitive training and improve influences of cognitive performance in the areas of auditory cognition, visual performance, and perception. I have gained a lot of experience working with datasets, statistical software and computing tools, and in environments involving a person’s behaviors, emotions, and attitudes when using a product, system, or service. I also understand the practical, theoretical, and affective aspects of human-computer interactions. Others tell me that I am brainy, curious, funny, and a little quirky. I believe it is clear to those around me that I get energized about making a difference and am passionate about my work. One of my key strengths is my ability to communicate complex situations and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. I moved to California with the hope of finding a dynamic opportunity with an organization that will put my skills to good use for the benefit of the company, its coworkers, and its customers. My goal is to help design and build products that make a positive difference in the lives of people today and in the future. I am dedicated to impacting the present as well as the field’s evolution over time.
