About Jane Bermejo

The two most important things I value is trust and integrity. Honoring your word creates trust. Never make a commitment you are not going to keep. Always come from a giving place first expecting nothing in return. Integrity comes from doing and making correct choices best for all parties not just yourself. When making a mistake acknowledge it and own it then correct it. Being taught this from an early age has shaped my drive to want to help improve the lives of others through recruiting and talent development in the HR industry. When I first started pursuing my degree in Human Resource Management at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh I was inspired by a professor that spoke about finding talent in the least expected places. He called this,"finding the diamond in the rough". My focus as an HR professional is to empower and enrich the live's of employees I serve. I am a firm believer that if you train people well enough so they can leave and treating them well enough so they don't want to. Being able to see the fruits of my labor by improving the lives I serve through recruiting, job offers, leadership development, compensation and benefits gives me motivation to go to work everyday. Let's be honest, it's feels pretty good to be part of someones success story. Currently I'm honored to serve the trucking industry with my knowledge of the permits they need to legally transport everyday goods to help keep this country going. At JJ Keller and Associates I determine my clients' permit needs and how J. J. Keller can best serve those needs. I was privileged to serve the Oshkosh Police Department as their clerical assistant. My focus was to create a filing system that was organized and easily maintainable so that confidential records could be accessed to process record requests efficently and headache free. My greatest accomplishments so far include being able to serve on the Mental Health committee for the department and being able to collaborate with my HR colleagues during my internship at City Hall of Oshkosh to launch a new performance management system. Both of these experiences allowed me to utilize my flexible communication skills gained through 10 years of customer service. This resulted building positive interpersonal relationships, a track record of meeting deadlines and completing projects that exceeded expectations. Currently, I'm looking to be part of a diverse, inclusive administration that will help me take my career to the next level, so I can find those "diamonds in rough" that will elevate your company's ability to compete in todays market.
