About Jane Dufrane

Jane is Vice President – Market Lead for the Highwoods Properties Richmond Division overseeing a portfolio that includes nearly 3 million square feet of office space, and inventory of land for development with a team of 29. She is responsible for all aspects of the division which include Marketing and Leasing, wholly owned and third-party Property Management, and obtaining new developments on existing or 3rd party owned sites. She has been working in the Richmond market for 30 years, 29 of which have been with Highwoods. After working with Harrison and Bates, she joined Highwoods Properties when they opened the Richmond office in 1995 as a leasing representative and has been promoted through the leasing department into her current role as of October 2018. Jane graduated from Old Dominion University with a BSBA in 1994 where her studies were concentrated within the Real Estate Finance Department of the Business School. She earned her CCIM in 2002, her SIOR designation in 2011, and her Managing Brokers License in 2018. She was elected President of the Richmond CREW and GRACRE chapters, was the Co-Founder of the Urban Land Institute's Local Product Council. She also serves as President of the Innsbrook Owners Association Board, Executive Committee member for the Board of Trustees for The Steward School, Board of Director member of Richmond Metro Transit Authority, Executive Committee member of the Board of Directors for the Virginia Chapter for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the executive committee for the Richmond Real Estate Group. Jane recently started her own podcast,@Thetypeslaypodcast and cohosts with fellow female business leader,@CarlyBell. Topics include leadership, career growth, work life balance and a host of guests who come on to talk about thier career journeys.
