Background
About Jane Estes
I am originally from St Louis Missouri but currently living in Colorado. I have dual degrees from Western Illinois University, majoring in Business Operation Management and Marketing. I have worked in corporations for the majority of my career and have held the position of Divisional Vice President for Eddie Bauer Inc, supervising over 1500 employees over 13 states and 3 provinces in Canada. My work involved relating to people from all backgrounds and nationalities, marketing effectively to build the brand across a diverse population, managing community development funds, and understanding marketing & trends. Additionally, I have held many volunteer positions and successfully fundraised for various community organizations. I bring a long history and understanding of corporate America, fundraising and relationship building. In 2017 I shifted gears to a more mission driven type of work, especially one based around children’s rights. I am the mother of 4 and live with my husband and 3 teenage children. Tragically I lost my daughter at the age of 8 to a fatal form of brain cancer. It is through this loss that my interest in supporting organizations that focus on children’s issues began. By joining the Denver office for ISPCAN (The International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect), I have had the opportunity to use my skills and experiences to make a difference in the lives of children around the globe. At ISPCAN, I work to create networks that connect front line practitioners across multiple disciplines who work to prevent all forms of child abuse and neglect globally. I have developed communities of learning that provide critical data and research to impact policy changes and improve systems of care for children around the globe. MY CORE STRENGTHS INCLUDE- Content Creation and Resource Development - Community Engagement Strategies - Networking and Professional Development - Diverse Utilization of Communication Platforms - Creating Communities of Learning - Website Design for Impact see: - Graphic Design Skills - Marketing Skills - Experience with Multiple Communication Channels - Strong Communication Skills - Negotiations Expert - Human Resource Management - Business Operations Experience
