By the time I was 29 and as a single mum, I'd built my own global, 7-figure, cybersecurity business. I did it within 2-years. Whilst building a business is a huge achievement, it's not the hardest thing in business to do. The hardest thing is turning around a company that's failing. I've done both and without investment. My journey has been anything but conventional: from being nominated as a Young British Designer to founding a global ethical hacking firm, becoming a celebrated UNESCO Trailblazing Woman in Tech, a UN Women U.K. delegate to the UN CSW, being featured on Wikipedia and earning an MBE. Having worked in cyber for almost 30-years, and founding the 1st female owned hacking firm, I've been actively involved in OWASP, CREST and Cyber Essentials and held senior exec roles, the last being as an MD at Accenture. With a proven track record in working with some of the world’s biggest brands and delivering fast revenue growth, I can communicate a business' strategy with senior execs and cyber needs with technical staff. Being able to translate between both requirements has enabled me to orchestrate faster, smoother and more effective engagements. I’m driven by my 3 children, an obsession to deliver outstanding quality and to make a positive difference in the world. I believe the world will only be safer, stronger and more prosperous when there are more women in male dominated fields. It’s why I authored the Amazon bestseller, IN Security, created the IN Security Movement, which has put >442 women through scholarships - a value of around and the IN Security Code of Conduct. Today, I work as a cybersecurity influencer for smart brands and as a strategic business growth advisor. I sit on the board of Black Hat EU Exec Summit and judge numerous global awards – from teens in tech to businesses in cyber, as well as winning some of my own too! I’m represented by The London Speaking Bureau and share my expertise with forward thinking companies, governments, the United Nations, EU Commission, World Digital Assessment Council, and events like Harvard, Black Hat and Web Summit. I'm a pioneer, mission led, play full out, and my work aligns to the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 5, 10 and 16.
