About Jane Harrison

I am a registered nurse with 30 years experience in a variety of settings. I enjoyed the maternal/child field very much for the first 15 years of my career. It was a special privilege to be an important part of a mother's birth experience. Because of the flexibility in nursing, I received the opportunity to switch into peri operative nursing which allowed me to work straight days and not requiring night or evening shifts. I found a real love for the pre operative side of nursing. It was my pleasure to relieve patients' fears as they were about to have surgery. I also enjoyed working with all the systems of the body and with all ages and sexes. Because of my experience in Pre op, I became an expert in IV therapy as we did all of our own IV's. I have always appreciated my profession as I enjoy working with people. I feel happy when I can make a difference ina patient's attitude. I am a hard worker who enjoys spending time with my patients. Although I've enjoyed all my past positions, I am looking for a change either in the clinical setting or perhaps not. I would be open to doing an interesting job requiring health care experience such as sales. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and experience.
