Background

About Jane Hoffman

I am an expert in Middle East history and often feature geo-political theory on my radio show "Political Gravity" on I have a Masters in Political Science from California State University - Northridge. My specialty is foreign policy theory. I have studied Kenneth Waltz, Kenneth Oye, John Mearsheimer, Samuel Huntington, Henry Kissinger and Zbigniew Brzezinski. I believe America to be an overshadowing, hegemonic power. When violating international law by invading sovereign territory, they are taking on nations and cultures they may overpower but not conquer. I adhere to Catholic pacifism and isolationism. Recent presidential elections have implicated American voters into making emotionally based choices driven by extreme religious and bully tactics which is out of the scope of government intent. I am also a free lance writer and journalist in Duluth, MN and Superior, WI. My articles center on religion, politics and culture. I wrote an Ojibwe play which went from a 99 seat house in Los Angeles to the American Indian Film Festival to cable television. It was aired on a show called "Playhouse 1990's." produced by Candace Bowen. I have written a novel about public housing called "Chronicles from a Southern City." I currently reside in Northern Minnesota. I am also finishing my autobiographical novel called "The Birth of Strangers" written in the 3rd person.
