About Jane McColl

A Senior People Manager who is passionate about changing the face of HR driving thoughtful, kind and authentic people-focused initiatives. With over 20 years’ experience working in HR, my background is predominately ER in corporate settings, it took me a while to realise I was a round peg in a square hole! My natural instinct was to look for solutions and different ways of working, coaching managers to do things differently with some great outcomes, but often found it was too late by the time the 'case' came to me. So, I stepped out of my comfort zone and have been supporting SME's in tech for good, charity and purpose-led companies develop their people strategies to attract and retain talent. I am passionate about changing the narrative of the HR profession and doing things differently - who wants to read a 70 page staff handbook! Bringing the importance of the employee experience to the table, supporting companies to understand what makes a great place to work and creating a psychologically safe environment for our colleagues to be their best at work. Instrumental in supporting the direction and development of a culture people want to belong to by helping companies define their mission statement and discover and celebrate their values.
