About Jane McEneaney

Jane McEneaney is the Theatre Teacher and Director at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, where she is also an advisor. Previously, she served as Performing Arts Chair at Turning Point School. Teaching teenagers in courses from vocal arts and world music to playwriting and production, Jane forges a theatre community centered around the Ubuntu ethic: I am because we are. Students explore World Mythology, Shakespeare, Apartheid, the Holocaust, Hurricane Katrina, Japanese Internment, and the African orphan crisis, all through performing arts. Jane is a 2010 recipient of the Center Theatre Group Chase Fellowship for Theatre Educators. She is the former Director of Education for The Pasadena POPS Orchestra and has written/directed for the L.A. Philharmonic’s Toyota Symphonies for Youth, where she also worked in the Executive Office reporting to Deborah Borda. Jane founded the M.Y.E. theatre company and served for a decade as Operations Manager of Cliffwood Partners, an investment management firm. She is a former Board Member for CETA and was a 2009 finalist for the Bravo Award. Jane served on the faculty for Sage Hill School, Camp Bravo and Creative Planet School of the Arts. Jane holds a Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Arts in Learning from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master’s of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. in Theatre and Asian Studies from Connecticut College.
