About Jane Monk

With 1.3 billion people living in developed countries where we disproportionately enjoy the largest share of the world's resources, I strongly believe that each one of us is responsible for giving something back in exchange. Whether it’s working for our communities, providing healthcare, education or fighting for our environment we can all make a positive difference in some way. We might not be able to solve the world’s problems alone but through teamwork and community spirit we can make a collective difference. I’m an experienced operations and finance lead with a background in interpreting legislation and streamlining processes to meet organisational requirements and optimise efficiency. I put a high value on building strong professional relationships with all stakeholders, having worked with a variety of clients, agents, young adults, colleagues and vulnerable groups. The people I’ve worked with have helped me to develop a communication style based on empathy, with a strong focus on successful outcomes for the organisation I work for, as well as for the individuals I work with. My breadth of knowledge having worked in commercial and not-for-profit organisations makes me a strong generalist, and my background in finance naturally allows me to understand the importance of detail. My personal passion for horticulture and nature gives me a sense of the ‘bigger picture’ and a reverence for the fragility and beauty of our world.
