About Jane Power

I’m from a microelectronic engineering background with diverse experience in the Software and Telecoms industries. My roles have included project manager, developer, support engineer, educator and technical writer. These varied roles and perspectives have given me the skills to manage multi-disciplinary projects and handle complex challenges effectively- Career highlights to date:* As product manager for Axway’s internal product delivery site and its bug tracking tools, transitioned their development and QA from France/Romania to India.* Ensured quicker onboarding of new Axway acquisitions through specification/enforcement of single set of R&D processes and tools.* Led multi-site (France, Romania, India) development team to create the change request and delivery management functions of Axway’s Information System in preparation for Axway’s separation from Sopra Group. Decreased costs and significantly improved time-to-market by reducing Axway’s change request and delivery management software tools from 40 to 10.* Highlighted the importance of product usability through creation of standardized, user-friendly GUI elements and monitoring dashboards. This led to the focus on product usability as an Axway differentiator and the creation of Axway’s User Experience department.* In Burkina Faso, had the privilege of educating 600+ secondary school students and teachers in computer skills and English thereby greatly improving their chances of securing a job- I’m a no-half-measures kind of person. I believe that if you have something to do you should do it well and quickly. I improve performance and quality by demanding standards of excellence from myself and my colleagues- I thrive on a challenge – the higher the mountain the better!
