Additionally, I contribute to the biomarker archival system, supporting studies in archiving sensitive data using technologies like AWS, iRODS, and Python. Previously, as the Chief Research Officer at Genevia Technologies, I oversaw the analysis and R&D teams. I developed business strategies and processes to serve the bioinformatics community better, including- Developing a client project management process- Leading improvement of the internal server system- Forming an R&D team to leverage code and knowledge from client projects for designing key pipelines that streamlined analysis and improved efficiency- Managing application development and bioinformatics projects- Engaging in technical sales for applications, software, and multi-omic bioinformatics projects. Before Genevia, I was a bioinformatician and software developer for the EuPath/FungiDB group, where I implemented new analysis pipelines, wrote and executed database queries, and engaged in general debugging. My work primarily involved Perl (object-oriented), R, and SQL Oracle, with experience in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Python. Additionally, I developed and tested a Python-based pipeline for metagenomic analysis. Earlier in my career, I served as a postdoc at the Center for Genomics-Enabled Plant Science at Michigan State University, providing bioinformatics support to faculty and students across various plant science disciplines, offering expertise in Perl, BioPerl, genomics, transcriptomics, and other bioinformatics areas.
