About Jane Rector

I am passionate about planetary geology, systems science, and research. I graduated with a B.S. in Earth and Space exploration with a concentration in geological sciences from Arizona State University, and have 3+ years of research experience in academic laboratories, in the field, and in the professional industry. My research focuses include planetary and earth-based geology, ecology, environmental and space policy, and systems science. I have conducted research both in the field and using remote sensing data and collection devices. Additionally, I have worked on geomorphological surveys and done hazard mitigation planning for human and environmental impacts.In my time as a student at ASU, I had the opportunity to gain grant and professional writing experience in both the sciences and governmental policy/action. In the research positions I held and during my job with the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Team, I was active in public outreach and regularly prepared written scientific information for public education and use.
