About Jane Reid

I am a senior, degree qualified professional with over 15 years experience providing strategic advice to executive management, boards, reference groups and advisory committees in a range of fields from gambling, road safety, education and health. This broad ranging experience allows me to quickly grasp new subject areas and quickly get to the core of issues. I work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to produce the best results within the constraints of time and budget. I have expertise in engaging with children and young people and designed and led the first Growing up in Queensland project which heard from more than young Queenslanders between the ages of 4 to 18. The research model I developed has become the blueprint for this work. For the past 3 years I have had the privilege of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across the state to share their stories of family and strength using digital storytelling techniques. I am currently focused on the topic of youth justice and have designed a comprehensive research project to hear from children and young people, families, Elders, community leaders and service providers. All my research work has received ethics approval. Proven ability to lead, develop and execute highly effective and innovative external and internal communication and engagement strategies to support strategic objectives for organisations in the private and government sectors both in-house and as a consultant. Extensive program management experience and proven success leading multi-disciplinary teams. Ability to translate strategic objectives into operational goals and produce deliverables to meet KPIs.
