The Dean of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness is responsible for the overall operation of continuous quality improvement initiatives throughout the college. The position has a direct line of responsibility to the President and works closely with the Vice President for Education to coordinate improvement processes that contribute to an enhanced learning environment for students, faculty and staff, and to continuing accreditation through the North Central Association. II. Functional Responsibilities: • Coordinate CQI criteria and processes, including process reengineering, especially as they relate to NCA re-accreditation. • Coordinate a training schedule for all staff. • Coordinate CQI information campaigns and updates. • Coordinate intra-departmental and cross-functional performance teams, as needed. • Coordinate the development of protocols to monitor assessment and CQI criteria. • Coordinate the development of feedback protocols for the CQI process. • Coordinate the development of cycle improvement protocols for CQI. • Coordinate CQIN and AQIP activities, including the posting and updating of Action Projects and the maintaining of the Systems Portfolio. • Coordinate the deployment and data analysis of annual 360’ evaluation activities for all line leadership. • Coordinate the delivery and data analysis of all CQI-related surveys, such as those measuring employee satisfaction or those topics specific to AQIP and/or CQIN. • Coordinate the development, maintenance, and timely submission of the college’s strategic plan as required by the University System of Ohio. • Coordinate updates to the College’s Dashboard/Balanced Scorecard and College-wide Strategy Map of Initiatives. • Assume other duties as assigned by the President.
