About Jane Taylor
I am an experienced teacher, with 15 years full time and approx 15 years casual/part time teaching experience. I taught full time in Technology (Food and Textiles) to years 7 to 10 at Sydney Secondary College, Balmain and in 2017 started in a similar role at St Scholastica's College in Glebe, where I also taught HSIE (Geog, History my first teaching area) and Religion. I have completed units in a postgraduate Certificate in Religion (ACU). I commenced teaching at Mercy Catholic College Chatswood in 2021, as a Technology and Food Technology teacher, to Stage 6, where I have been for the last 4 years. I have had some experience in other workplaces in Australia and overseas - including business, human resources and the finance industry.(I have a Post Grad Dip in Sec Studs) My career objectives are to be fulfilled and challenged by my work. I love the caring side of teaching and working with a great team. I feel my talent is in dealing with people (young people in particular) and bringing out the best in them. I am artistic and enjoy bringing this to my job.
