About Jane Wiegand

I am actively looking for work in Data Analytics/GIS Analytics in greater pursuit of a long term career in Data Science. As an archaeologist at Jacobs, I apply my expertise in data analysis and geographical information systems (GIS) to support various projects throughout the United States. My work has covered many industries including but not limited to: environmental compliance, cultural resource management, waste water management, department of transportation, federal investigations and remediation, department of defense contracts, construction monitoring, and utility infrastructures. I have a Master of Arts in Human Osteoarchaeology and a Higher Diploma in GIS from the University College Cork in Ireland, as well as a Bachelors of Arts in Physical Anthropology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Certificate in Applied Forensic Anthropology from the University of Hawaii-West Oahu. I am passionate about gathering, cleaning, and studying data to conduct scientific research as well as sharing data insights through visualizations such as maps, 3D models, and reports. I am always eager to learn new tools and techniques to enhance my work. I greatly enjoy helping my team best answer data related questions, solve data related problems, and conduct data related research.
